Content Management Systems

A Content Management System or CMS provides a 'user friendly' interface for maintaining a website. It allows the website administrator to maintain the site without having to learn the HTML code at the heart of all websites. Instead they can use simple forms to enter new information or to update existing information.

The Modx Advantage

TIMR Web Services uses the Modx CMS for our client's websites. Modx is Free Open Source Software (FOSS). Free means the software is free to use or modify. This has resulted in a huge international community supporting the program. Help is freely available. Our client's are never 'locked in' as is the case with some proprietory software.

Open Source Software means the software code, the reciepe for designing the software, is open for anyone to modify. This has led to wide variety of 'add ons' being readily available from the Modx community. It also allows TIMR programmers to build custom solutions to meet our client's needs.
